Airplane Crash - $4.0 Million dollar settlement
(Co-counsel) Client's husband, 32 years old, died in airplane crash. U.S. Government (FAA) and pilot equally at fault for pilot's attempted landing with FAA approval on approach pattern which was not in operation.

Motorcycle Collision - $2.0 million settlement
48 year old man hit on left side by pickup truck that failed to yield at stop sign. Severe internal injuries, fractured ankle joint, left leg, pelvis with placement of plates, pins and screws to stabilize fractures.

Medical Malpractice (Hodgkin's Lymphoma) - $1.75 Million dollars
Client's delayed diagnosis of Hodgkin's Lymphoma due to misread chest x-ray resulted in substantial progression of disease and reduced chance of survival.

Automobile Collision - $1.2 Million
Severe internal injuries received from a head-on automobile collision.

Medical Malpractice (Breast Cancer) - $1.2 Million
Client died due to misdiagnosis of her breast lump by her gynecologist.

Medical Malpractice (Breast Cancer) - $1.1 Million settlement
Client died as a result of a misread mammogram.

Medical Malpractice (Aneurysm) - $1.0 Million
In a case in rural Georgia, a radiologist failed to timely diagnose on CT scan an aortic aneurysm (weakened blood vessel) which later ruptured, resulting in the death of our client.

Medical Malpractice (EKG, Echocardiogram) - $925,000
Failure to diagnose cardiac arrest in 54 year old with abnormal tests (EKG, Echo). Death after 40 days in hospital.

Van Accident - $800,000 settlement. 
Our Client was in the back of a group van that had just begun a long trip when the driver negligently lost control of the vehicle.  The Client was partially ejected from the van and suffered serious injuries to her wrist and elbow.  

Automobile Collision - $777,800 Jury award
A young man in his mid-30's died as a result of the defendant swerving to avoid a dog in the road. The jury returned a verdict after a 2 ½ day trial for his wrongful death in the amount of $777,800. Evidence of a felony conviction of deceased admitted at trial.

Automobile Collision - $725,000
Man killed while driving a vehicle when defendant driver swerved into client's lane of traffic to avoid an animal. Deceased had very little provable earnings during his life.

Pedestrian Accident - $650,000.  Elderly Client was struck and killed when the other driver was not paying attention. 

Medical Malpractice (Allergy Shot) - $500,000
(Co-counsel) Death of a 9 year old child in a physician's office after an allergic reaction to an allergy shot received in physician's office.

Truck Collision - $410,000
28 year old client was a passenger in a truck when defendant crossed center line, causing head-on collision. Client suffered nerve injury in shoulder, resulting in reduced use of right hand.

Medical Malpractice (Heart Attack) - $375,000
Failure to diagnose and treat 62 year old woman for chest pain. Heart attack death.

DUI Collision - $325,000 Judgment. 
Client was driving home when his truck was hit by defendant driver, injuring the Client and totaling his 2006 SUV.  The defendant was under the influence of alcohol.

Automobile Collision - $325,000 settlement. 
A vehicle ran a stop sign and collided with our Client. The impact from the collision resulted in serious neck injuries to our client which required surgery.

Tractor Trailer/Log Loader Collision - $250,000
Man in tractor trailer suffered multiple soft tissue injuries, minor head injury.

Automobile Collision - $225,000
Client was a passenger in a car when the driver lost control of the car and crashed into a retaining wall. Our client suffered a severely fractured leg.

Client suffered herniated disc.

Worker's Compensation - $200,000
47 year old female who worked as a guard fell and broke her left wrist, resulting in Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, which is a nerve injury causing pain, numbness and swelling in the left arm.

Medical Malpractice (Abortion) - $190,000
28 year old woman incorrectly diagnosed as having a tubal pregnancy and her 6 week pregnancy was terminated. Recovery made for physical and emotional distress to the mother of the fetus. Georgia law did not allow recovery on behalf of fetus for wrongful death.

Workers' Compensation Injury - $176,000
Client fell at work and required a total knee replacement.

Automobile Collision (Jury Verdict) - $175,000
20 year old woman was a passenger and incurred substantial scars to left leg.

Automobile Collision - $170,000
Client was a passenger and suffered a broken ankle.

Automobile Collision - $150,000.
Client was driving his mini-van at night and was sitting at a stop light when an out of control driver smashed into his vehicle.  Client suffered a punctured spleen and various chest injuries. 

Motorcycle Collision - $150,000.
Client was on a motorcycle when she was struck by another car.  Client suffered extensive damage to her knee, which has required 2 knee surgeries.

Products Liability - Defective Office Equipment - $147,500.
Our Client was sitting at the conference room table of a bank when a heavy presentation board fell on his shoulder, requiring two shoulder surgeries.  We hired an expert and discovered that the board fell due to a combination of improper installation and also a manufacturing defect.

Restaurant Fall - $138,000
Fall by woman in restaurant that required knee surgery.

Workers' Compensation Injury - $126,000.
Client seriously injured his back while he was lifting a heavy piece of equipment at his work.  Still in extreme pain after two surgeries. 

Motorcycle/Automobile Collision - $125,000
Client on a motorcycle suffered broken leg.

Auto Collision - $115,000
Client was a passenger in a van. The van was hit when another car crossed the median on I-16. Our client suffered a separated shoulder for which she had surgery.

Motorcycle Wreck (Jury Verdict) - $112,000
City failed to keep trees trimmed that resulted in a motorcycle wreck with a knee injury.

Child Injured by Slingshot; Jury Verdict Against Parents - $103,000
In a somewhat unusual case, a 12 year old girl was in a neighbor's yard when a 10 year old neighborhood boy shot an acorn from a "wrist-rocket" slingshot that had been purchased for him by his parents. The acorn hit the eye of our client, causing reduced vision in one eye. The suit was brought against the parents for negligently giving their son the slingshot.

Motorcycle Collision with Pedestrian - $100,00
Elderly female pedestrian hit by motorcycle while crossing street. Broken leg.

Motorcycle Collision - $87,500
Client hit by car which failed to yield, causing client to suffer loss of spleen.

Assault by Camp Counselor - $87,500 settlement.
Client was a day camper at a summer camp in which several of the camp counselors had been warned several times about putting wrestling moves on the campers.  Nevertheless, one of the counselors put our Client in a chokehold that resulted in him falling to the ground and damaging many of his teeth.

Auto Collision - $82,500 settlement.
Client was a police officer who was off duty and driving her mother and aunt to the grocery store when a Van from a major retailer ran a stop sign and totaled her vehicle, fracturing our client's wrist.

Automobile Accident - $50,000
Full insurance policy limits obtained through settlement for our young female client who was hit by a drunk driver. She suffered a fractured pelvis.

Slip and Fall - $33,000.
Our Client was walking in an area of a restaurant in which the floor was very greasy.  She slipped and fractured her hand. A pin was surgically placed in her hand to aid the healing.

Automobile Collision - $25,000
Full insurance policy limits obtained for school crossing guard hit in crosswalk. Suffered a broken ankle. (Defendant had no assets.)

DUI One-Car wreck - $25,000 settlement
Full insurance policy limits obtained for Client who was the passenger in a car that was being driven by Client's friend.  Client wasn't aware that the driver was intoxicated, and was injured when the driver lost control of his vehicle.  Client was thrown from the car and suffered a broken elbow.
